Not being a dog owner, I don't think I was fully prepared for a seminar with Cesar Millan. Greeted with applause and even a standing ovation when he walked in, the Dog Whisperer himself was obviously a firm hit with fans who packed out the Arena last night.
And during the two hour seminar Millan did give good advice about how to establish personal space and boundaries with your dog so that they understand how to follow your lead...and not push you off your spot on the sofa.
The teaching was peppered with gentle humour as well as tales of his own life, but it did seem that Millan spent longer imitating dogs - yapping, snarling, pulling his face into various 'dog-like' contortions and dragging a woman across the stage to demonstrate the difference between low and high energy dogs - than he did with the animals themselves.
